Robert Van De Velde of Project Flight Deck has published “Act Fast and Think Fast: Agile Schedule Performance,” as a chapter in Mark Phillips book, The Practitioner's Handbook of Project Performance: Agile, Waterfall and Beyond (2020 Routledge, NY). Robert is attempting to obtain permission allowing his chapter to be accessible as a paper on the ES website.
During August, Kamran Akbarzadeh interviewed Walt Lipke for Project Control Academy (PCA). The interview, “Nuggets of Wisdom from the Creator of Earned Schedule,” is published as a Blog on the PCA website. It is accessible at https://www.projectcontrolacademy.com/walter-lipke/
 Walt Lipke has submitted the article, “Schedule Performance Impact from Rework,” to the Project World Journal (PMJ) for publication. The paper, “Schedule Adherence and Rework,” was republished in the July edition of PMJ to provide a refresher for the new article.

Kym Henderson has reported that the Australian national standard for EVM, AS4817-2019, has been published and is now available from SAI Global in both hard and soft copy. It’s the modified adoption of the ISO EVM Standard 21508:2018as.Earned Schedule is in the guidance in Annex B as per the ISO standard. Encore Analytics announced at the EVM World Conference (May 22-24), that the release of Empower 4.0 provides Earned Schedule capability:

The awards previously listed within the News page are moved to improve access. The awards are now associated with the ES Awards link positioned between ES Book (translations) and Copyrights & TradeMarks. Four awards are now identified (Eric Jenett, Driessnack, EVM Europe, PGCS Walt Lipke) as well as the Eric Jenett Tribute.
The PMI Practice Standard for Scheduling, which includes ES, was released in June.
The update to the Australian EVM Standard is expected to be released this July. It is modeled after ISO standard for EVM (21508). As with the ISO standard, ES is treated as an emerging practice.
Anderson Cézar de Menezes, an ES advocate, has provided an excerpt from the training offered by his Bolivian company Menezes Pro. The excerpt is provided in the Papers page and is identified with the title, “Gestion de Valor Ganado.”
Project Control Academy offers on-line training which includes ES in the EVM course.
The Forecasting Method Selector Calculator is added to the Calculators page. The calculator improves accuracy by selecting between two duration forecasting methods, performance factor equal to 1 or SPI(t).
