July - December 2022
Preparation for two upcoming 2023 events to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Earned Schedule. The two events are:
Project Governance and Control Symposium is hosting a webinar on March 8. The webinar is to be broadcast twice to accommodate the time differences of the global attendees. The event will have several speakers and an interview with Keith Heitzman, the chief scheduler for the NASA SLS rocket. Project Control Academy is hosting a LinkedIn Live event on March 9. Information as to time has not as yet been set. The event is to be a discussion with Walt Lipke and will last about 30 minutes.
Dr. Mario Vanhoucke at the University of Ghent, Belgium discussed Earned Schedule in one of his classes. Subsequently, some of the students contacted Mr. Lipke and scheduled a Zoom meeting, occurring on Dec 2, 2022. The students and Mr. Lipke discussed the origins of Earned Schedule.
January - June 2022
Walt lipke made two presentations during this period:
“Earned Schedule - Application of the To Complete Schedule Performance Index” was presented on June 17 at the UT Dallas Project Management Symposium
“Earned Schedule – Project Duration Increase From Rework” was made virtually at the Project Control Summit on June 20

Walt Lipke published two papers:
“Earned Schedule - Application of the To Complete Schedule Performance Index,” is the companion paper to the UT Dallas PM Symposium presentation.
“Earned Schedule Application to Projects with Performance Interruption,” was published in the March issue of the Project Management World Journal. The article is an updated version of an article previously published in a journal that no longer exists.

Small changes have been made to three calculators: ES-LP, Prediction Analysis, and Statistical Forecasting. ES-LP adds three sheets for examining a parallel task example. Prediction Analysis clarifies the derivation for SPI(t)r. And, a correction is made for the calculation of the Margin of Error for Statistical Forecasting.
